the brains behind my financial compass


Meet Jacobo Laya Jr., the founder of My Financial Compass, a 20-year Navy veteran who served as Operations Specialist and Command Financial Specialist. During his service, Jacobo honed his skills in proper money management, counseling sailors of all ranks and their families.  

Jacobo's passion for financial guidance extends beyond his military career. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Excelsior College and has been a successful business owner of Jac&Mac Photography for more than 16 years.  

His expertise and dedication have earned him recognition in the Marquis's Who's Who as Professional Entrepreneur of the Year.
